Volente is a female singer song writer who has grown up with music since childhood. Originally singing soprano at school it wasn’t until she was 17 that she joined a band and broadened her horizons, into an Avant garde metal rock band no less! Her music experience grew no less varied as she moved from singing session vocals, touring with a Bob Marley tribute act to becoming part of a hip hop group and then joining an alt-country group.
With all of this music experience Volente now returns to release the single ‘Hollow’ as a prelude to an album release later in 2012. Again it reflects her ever evolving musical tastes and influences with the track being centred on a heavy bass line allowing Volentes vocals to almost float across the music in a somewhat haunting combination.
Certainly when the album is released later in the year, if ‘Hollow’ is anything to go by, it could be one to watch.
