Critical Heights are releasing two 7″s for Record Store Day which you can listen to here:
DIVA DOMPÉ “Cyborg Sweetie”
L.A.’s Diva Dompé returns with “Cyborg Sweetie”, a heady push of chrome and fluorescence which tells a Deckard-like tale of unrequited “techno-love” that is addictive in the extreme. She is currently working on a new full-length Moon Moods, to be released later in the year. She recently toured with Sun Araw and collaborated on his recent album with M Geddes.
TALIBAM! “Step Into The Marina”
You may be familiar with the avant-garde, experimental noise aspects of Talibam!’s previous work but brace yourself for a real, sure-fire surprise when we reveal that their forthcoming album Puff Up the Volume is their “No School Rap” debut. That’s right. They say “if you went to rap school, you wasted your money.”

Mathew Sawyer kicks of the Record Store Day celebration of London label “Critical Heights” with an initimate gig in the labels pop-up record shop @ Monkey Bar in Stoke Newington.
This summer Mathew releases the limited edition ‘Death Of The Ghosts” – a collection of home recordings from the last 10 years. The record will be packaged together with his first two acclaimed albums How Snakes Eat and Blue Birds Blood.
“an affecting affair that taps early Bolan, Fairport Convention and Syd Barrett.”
“Anyone with sense will invest in this genuinely beautiful, fragile and intelligent album”
“Sawyer’s sweetly faltering voice and darkly surreal lyrics complete the intriguing, pathos-drenched picture”
