Released at the beginning of June, “Nude” is the debut album from the east London trio Bleech, which consists of sisters Jennifer (guitar) & Katherine (bass) O’Neill and drummer Matt Bick.

This is a band that have certainly been making waves and getting the support from a wide variety of musical pundits! The likes of Steve Lamacq, Lauren Laverne, John Kennedy and magazines like NME, Rocksound & Clash have all given them rave reviews, with Laverne describing them as “Her new favourite band”.

Very much on the indie / alternative tip “Nude” contains 10 tracks which includes the singles “Mondays” and “The Worthing Song”. The album is full of infectious and melodic tunes that certainly pack a punch and with great vocals that combine well with the underlying sound of the band you can see why there’s a good buzz surrounding them. From the gentle sounds of “Flowerhands” to the power of “I Wanna Be Me” and “Break My Nose” this is a debut album that delivers what you’d expect from the much vaunted Bleech. F.F.
